Ducted Air Conditioning in Milton, Brisbane

Milton is known for its offices along Milton Road and the cafes on Park Road, but tucked behind them are streets of workers’ cottages and renovated timber homes, plus small commercial buildings converted into studios and offices. For a cottage that has been extended, or a small office spread over several rooms, ducted air conditioning can be tidier than a row of wall units. Cockatoo Plumbing Electrical is based in Toowong, Brisbane, next door to Milton, and installs ducted systems here. Call 0450 963 633.

Workers’ cottages

Milton’s cottages are often narrow, with a low roof over the original front rooms and a newer extension at the back. Fitting the indoor unit and ducts into that roof takes careful planning around ceiling joists, insulation and access. Some cottages suit a compact ducted unit; others are better served by splits in the main rooms, and we will say which after looking at the roof space.

Small offices and studios

In a small office, ducted air conditioning keeps walls clear and lets you zone meeting rooms, open work areas and reception separately. Where the building is leased, we can provide the layout and electrical details a landlord usually wants to see before approving the work. Installation can often be scheduled to limit disruption to your business.

Planning a ducted system in Milton

roof space inspection for headroom, framing and access
zoning to suit bedrooms, living areas or office rooms
outlet and return air positions
outdoor unit placement on small lots, clear of neighbours
replacing an older ducted system and reusing sound ducts
dedicated circuit and switchboard checks

Low-lying streets

Some Milton streets closer to the river sit low, so we look at raising the outdoor unit off the ground where stormwater could reach it.

Brands and electrical work

We can supply and install ducted systems from Mitsubishi Electric, Actron Air and Daikin, and as a licensed electrical contractor we handle the power supply in the same job.
