Air Conditioning in Woolloongabba, Brisbane

Woolloongabba sits low between the hills of Highgate Hill and Coorparoo, with plenty of hard surfaces around the Fiveways, the Gabba and the hospital precinct. On a still summer day the heat lingers, and cottages under iron roofs and apartments with big glass doors both warm up well before lunch. Cockatoo Plumbing Electrical is based in Toowong, Brisbane, and installs split system air conditioning in Woolloongabba homes, shops and offices. Phone 0450 963 633.

Cottages on small lots

Many Woolloongabba cottages sit only a metre or two from the boundary. The outdoor unit often goes in a side setback or under the house, and it should not push hot air and fan noise straight at the neighbour. We pick a spot with good air flow and a tidy pipe route, and run the condensate drain to a proper outlet.

Apartments and townhouses

Newer apartments usually come with a split system already, but a second bedroom, a study or a replacement unit is a common request. Townhouses may allow outdoor units on a courtyard wall or roof platform. Body corporate rules decide where units go, and we follow them.

Small commercial spaces

Shops, offices and cafes in converted warehouses tend to have high ceilings and large windows. A larger wall split, a ceiling cassette or more than one unit may be needed to cool the space evenly. We look at the room size, heat from equipment and people, and how the space is used during the day.
